Tzatziki Sauce

This is a simple and easy dressing, dip or sauce for gyros, veggies, Greek salads and sandwiches.  Allow to chill at least 1 hour after preparation so that flavors can meld together.  Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 (8 ounce) containers of plain Greek yogurt

  •  2 hot house or English cucumbers, peeled, seeded and diced

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • ½ lemon, juiced

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled

PREPARATION

  1. Combine yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill and garlic in a food processor.

  2. Process until well combined.

  3. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least on hour for best flavor.
